Family coalition, P.A.L’s group
The Clare-Gladwin Parent Coalition consists of parents, grandparents and caregivers who care for young children under 12 years of age in Clare and Gladwin Counties. The purpose of the Family Coalition is to increase parent participation in early childhood planning and decision-making for Clare and Gladwin Counties.
The Clare-Gladwin Great Start Family Coalition works with the Great Start Collaborative toward the common goal of providing a great start for all children in Clare and Gladwin counties.
Make Parenting A Pleasure
Make Parenting A Pleasure is a research- and evidence-based group curriculum for use with highly stressed parents of children from 0 to 8 years old. This series is grounded in the Center for the Study of Social Policy’s Protective Factors Framework: parental resilience; social connections; concrete support in times of need; knowledge of parenting and child development; and social and emotional competence of children. These five factors are associated with reducing the potential for child abuse and neglect.
Childbirth Education
Register for childbirth education classes through MyMichigan Health and to receive a free pack ‘n play once you meet the requirement.
The Baby Pantries provides diapers, wipes, and gently used items.
